I recieved an e-mail from the NERO President Joseph Valenti and I was wondering if anyone else has seen it?
I run a small, small medieval/fantasy larp that has a website and am conserned why the President of NERO is reaching out beyond his own organization for help?
The reason that we don't play NERO is the fact that if you want to be a NERO chapter you have to pay for the franchise rights which are $4000 & 7% of the gross for any/all events that charge an entry fee...for a small group like mine that is a impossability.

Here is a copy of Mr. Valenti's spam enjoy...

Dear LARP Owners and LARP Players

Here is some important information about the LARP Oriented venues that are moving forward in America. NERO International, through its employees and volunteer staff, are committed to help coordinate these efforts with you and your group, and encourage you to participate in them. With the participation from the many LARP groups in America, the industry will become larger and even better for all of us.

www.conquestamerica.com - I would like to invite your group to participate in this country-wide LARP Event next year, as Game Masters. The web site has a fair amount of information, especially the FAQ area. We will be building the Team of Storywriters in November and December, with more than 100 expected, and developing in-game storylines for the attendees to resolve. Be Part of a Multi-thousand attendee Live Adventure Convention, also known as Live Action Role Play (LARP). The Grand Conquest America event will be held July 2006, in the Illinois / Indiana Area.

www.larpies.com - the Live Action Role Play Awards are going to grow and become larger and larger each year. This year the LARP Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre, with a celebrity of renowned presenting, and many other celebrities, helping propel the Live Adventure industry into the eyes of the masses. Now, our Staff and Players have the chance to be recognized for their efforts and achievements. We have partnered with a T.V. production company in Los Angeles, CA, and we are looking for submissions from all types of LARP, all Genres’, and From all Around the World, until January 15, 2006. We have some confirmed entries from several other Countries. All North American LARPS need to support this endeavor by making an effort to help their players create submissions. The LARPY's Award Show will be held in April 2006 in Los Angeles CA. Don't miss this chance to be part of the LARP Awards!

www.maglarp.com - this is a new LARP magazine dedicated to LARP'ing in North America. We would like to offer features and articles written by and about the different LARPS in the country. The prelim web site is not up yet but will be up in a few weeks. We have Ford Ivey, the Father of LARP in America, willing to write, and many other editors and LARPS participating, and are once again reaching out to the other LARPS in North America to participate in this endeavor. This Magazine will roll out officially on November 1, 2005 - we are currently building the web site and accepting inquiries for writers and photographers and artists.

Please Forward This Email to all Live Adventurers that you know.

Feel free to contact me about becoming an active part of these incredible events that are transpiring in America today!
