Yes, I have played NERO, and a few other LARPs. I was a story teller in a World of Darkness LARP back in the day. My hope was to find a fantasy LARP in the Charlotte, NC area. If finding one does not work, I will ahve to make one happen one way or the other

I am thinking of going ot Belegarth and forming a new group.

You are probably in the right location to get a new group hooked up with Dagorhir. Post on their message board and see what you get. :)

I think that the best objective with a LARP group is to try to reproduce the excitement and wonder that you experience when you read good fantasy fiction.

For my group, I want to emphasize evocative locations and imaginative scenarios.

There seems to be a divide out between groups of a couple types:
              - "Stick-jock" groups that basically want to sling foam and don't care much for characterization, role-playing or even magic.
              - "Drama major" groups that take the "role-playing" more seriously and not so much the combat.
